It's come to the time where I just feel pretty acclimated to college life. I've got my people, my favorite places, and my go-to pastimes (not to mention classes). Anyway, here's a list of some of the more exciting things that have happened in November:
- I painted my nails.. twice!
- I went hiking (and semi-led a group to the coast with College Outdoors! I took a fair amount of the pictures for the group, which can be found here: Coast Hike #2 )
Tryon Creek State Park
- I went out and got tea... many times. :P
- I got my hair cut.
Beautiful
- I survived the "snow day" which cancelled all my classes (yes, really) and the subsequent cold spell.
Pictured: a tiny bit of sleet
- I made pumpkin bread.
Tastes like home
- I experienced dorm Thanksgiving...
Mmmmm dorm food!
- ...and real Thanksgiving.
Eva invited me to her parents' house in Seattle for Thanksgiving. Everything, the ride up, the city, the food, the people, was wonderful! I couldn't have asked for a better holiday away from home. Thank you so much Eva!
Of course I've also gone to classes, done homework, written essays, and taken midterms. I've spent the day in the day in the city; I've spent the day in my dorm (surprisingly, I have yet to spend the day in the library, but finals week is coming up). Overall, November has been a pretty good (and astonishingly quick) month, and I can hardly believe my first semester ends in just a couple weeks! As much as I am not looking forward to finals week, I am definitely looking forward to seeing my family again (17 more days!).
